Urban alums gathered for a happy hour celebration at Vesuvio’s prior to Blue Velvet Underground Auction and then joined current parents for a night of music, good food, bidding for a good cause and dancing! See a slideshow of our alums here.
Urban Alumni Council
The past school year was a momentous one for the alumni community and significant strides were made toward building a more dynamic and active alumni engagement program at Urban. Some highlights from the 2009-10 school year include:
  • Most successful year for alumni fundraising to date: 133 alums made contributions to the 100 for $100 campaign, Senior Class Fund and Auction, raising more than $21,000 dollars in support of Urban. Read all about it here.
  • Hosted successful first annual All-Alumni Reunion Weekend with Urban grads ranging from the classes of 1970 to 2006 in attendance.
  • Record alum attendance at this Auction & Celebration (including a pre-auction Happy Hour) on March 20 at Bimbo’s.
  • Increased registered members in Urban’s Online Alumni Community, and on our Facebook page and Linkedin group.
Integral to the current and future success of the Alumni Relations program is the leadership and support of Urban’s Alumni Council. The 14 members on this year’s Council dedicated their time and energy toward strengthening our community of Urban graduates and providing a variety of opportunities for alums to get involved and stay connected to the school. A special thanks to all the members of the Alumni Council for their continued efforts to expand Urban’s outreach and help keep the alumni community active and engaged.
