Coach Max Jones

Coach Max Jones grew up in Tacoma, WA playing lacrosse and soccer from a young age. He was a 4-year starter at Bellarmine Prep and led the team to the playoffs every season as the top scorer, while also playing club lacrosse with South Sound and WCS. Max attended Whittier College to play Division-III lacrosse and again as a 4-year starter he led the team to an NCAA Tournament Berth in his final year.
Post-college, Max played club lacrosse and met coaches around the Seattle area. Coaching for Team Washington, Bellevue and Roosevelt High Schools during that time. After moving to San Francisco in 2019, Max made his way onto the Urban Coaching staff at the start of the 2024 season and is thrilled to be back with the sport he loves.
Coach Max lives with his wife Caley in the Inner Richmond district of San Francisco, right between Urban and the Beach Chalet fields.
