Torin Coffino

Torin Coffino was born and raised in San Francisco. He attended Drew High School, where he played varsity basketball for four years, serving as team captain as a junior and senior. After high school, he attended and played one year of basketball for Santa Barbara City College. After sustaining a serious injury, he moved on from playing to take on a video coordinator role in his second year at the school. Torin would eventually attend Cal-State Monterey to complete his undergraduate degree, followed by SF State, where he pursued a Master of Ethnic Studies degree.

Torin has been coaching middle school girls and high school boys basketball since 2010, taking a short break while in grad school. Over the last eight years, Torin has coached at both the JV and varsity levels for a number of BCL teams, including a stint as boys varsity head coach at his alma mater Drew, as well as at Gateway High School. Torin has coached for the Bay City AAU basketball program in the offseason, leading one of the travel teams from 7th grade until they graduated in 2022. He is excited to join the Urban Blues program!
