Coach James is an accomplished golf coach with a proven ability to build and revitalize programs. In his first season at Urban, the team lowered their scoring average by 16.8%.

Before coming to Urban, he established the Varsity Boys Golf Program at Drew School, leading them to their first win in 10 years and decreasing the total team score by nearly 10%. He also pioneered the creation of the Varsity Girls Golf Team at Drew School.

His expertise includes swing and short-game instruction, practice planning, match strategy, and player development. Coach James is a highly motivated individual who is process-oriented and passionate about helping student-athletes improve.

James is also an accomplished golfer and is one of the top players for his handicap in Northern California. During his high school and college playing days, he was the #1 ranked player on his teams.
