Bill Cirocco joined Urban 11 years ago as a running coach in the cross-country and track programs. Prior to Urban, Bill led six successful seasons working with the running programs at University High School. Bill is a long-time coach in the San Francisco track world, having also worked with the USA Track & Field Youth Association, and has trained hundreds of Urban Blues throughout his time as coach.
Mary Schaezlein joined Urban as a cross country coach in Fall 2000. Prior to Urban she coached the women's cross country team at the University of San Francisco. She ran on the women's Impala professional racing team, and also owned and managed the Hoy's Sports Track and Field store on Haight Street until it closed in 2003. She is currently a P.E. consultant at C.L. Madison School, teaching kindergarten through second grade. She has always enjoyed coaching and encouraging students to perform well, and strive for them to feel accomplished in their hard work.
AnnaLee McGregor began coaching at Urban in 2013. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a certified USATF Level 1 Coach.
She competed in track and field at UC San Diego for four years as a 400m runner and also competed in one year of Indoor Track at San Francisco State where she became interested in training for combined events.
Learning the ten events of the decathlon better equipped her to coach student-athletes. AnnaLee's goal as a coach is to help teach athletes the value of hard work, how to overcome barriers and doubts, and experience the strong social bonds that can be gained through participation in sports. When not coaching at Urban, she works as a personal trainer all over the city and teaches group exercise classes at the YMCA. She has a MA in Exercise Physiology from San Francisco State University.
