Admissions Welcomes You!

Dear Parents/Guardians & Students,

We hope you and your families are well during this time. Regarding enrollment of our Freshmen Class of 2024 for academic year 2020-21, the admissions process is now closed and we are no longer accepting applications.

If you received a wait pool decision and wish to stay in the extended wait pool through the spring and summer months, we invite you to go here to complete and submit the form. As a school policy, the Extended Wait Pool is unranked. If an opening becomes available, the Admissions Committee will review the qualifications of the entire extended wait pool of candidates before making an offer of admission. Thank you for submitting your application to Urban School. We enjoyed getting to know you throughout the admissions season and wish you the best for the remainder of the year!

Urban teaches students how to think, not what to think."

If you are an interested 7th grader, we are delighted that you are considering Urban in your high school search. Urban School believes there is a better way to educate high school students. For more than half a century, our educational innovations have ignited the minds of Urban graduates, who pursue their passion for learning at the nation’s best colleges, and who go out into the world uniquely equipped to solve the challenges their generation will face.

Urban teaches students how to think, not what to think. We seek students with an enthusiastic approach to learning and a clear capacity for success in a rigorous academic program. Urban’s extraordinary teachers challenge our 420 students with a college preparatory curriculum in math, science, arts and humanities with comprehensive service learning and competitive athletics programs, and a rich selection of co-curricular activities.

The first step in our admissions process is to create a Ravenna-Hub account and profile. You will be able to explore Urban and schedule events and visits on our campus beginning mid-August. We will host student visits mid-September through mid-January, as well as Open Houses, optional interviews and parent information sessions starting in October. We hope that you choose to take advantage of these opportunities to come experience Urban next fall!
