During 2019-20, close to $3.9 million in financial aid was awarded to 29% of our students.

Tuition and Fees 2020-21
Tuition and fees for the 2020-21 school year are $51,365. There is a non-refundable enrollment deposit of 10% due at the time of contract submission, which is applied to the total tuition. In budgeting for four years of an Urban education, parents can expect annual tuition increases. The average tuition increase has been 4-5% per year, over the last five years.
Please note that additional costs may include: books and materials, outdoor or global education trips, meals/snacks/drinks, tutoring, athletic practice gear, and any college-related expenses such as standardized tests, college visits and specialized tutoring. For students receiving financial assistance, the school helps families with these additional items in order to provide a fully equitable education for all Urban students.
Investing in Your Child's Education
An Urban education is an investment in your child’s future. We want to work with families to make sure that if admitted, students are able to attend. To assist families in making this important investment, Urban has developed several payment options, including monthly payments, a loan program, and a financial assistance program:
Plan 1: Tuition is paid in one installment by July 1, 2020: $45,823.50.
Plan 2: Tuition is paid in two installments: Payment 1 by July 1, 2020 ($32,992.90), and Payment 2 by January 2, 2021 ($12,830.60).
Plan 3: Tuition is paid in 10 installments, May 15, 2020 to February 15, 2021 ($4,582.35). The 10-payment plan is administered through FACTS Management Company.
Annual Application Requirement
Urban families reapply for financial assistance each year through SSS so that any major changes to a family's financial situation can be reflected in the student's award, though most students receive a similar award each year if the need remains the same. Current families use the same process that prospective families complete, listed on the Financial Assistance Information Checklist. Awards are calculated based on two years of tax returns, the updated Parent Financial Statement and special circumstances.
