The Urban School
Cost $210 (financial aid is available)
This three-day workshop is reserved for incoming 9th grade students with little to no experience with computer digital media. Students will learn to plan, design, shoot and edit a digital movie of their own. The workshop provides the basic knowledge and experience necessary for comfortable and confident use of the digital media applications provided on every Urban student’s laptop including Photoshop, iPhoto, iMovie and others. All necessary equipment is provided.
The workshop will include daily trips to Haight Ashbury area locations to collect sounds, images and creative inspiration.
Note: Students attending the Summer Digital Media Workshop will receive their laptops at that time. All other students will receive their laptops during the scheduled freshman orientation, Thursday and Friday, August 26-27, 2010.
