Vision 2017 Strategic Plan Presentation for Alums
Thursday, January 29

We are putting together an opportunity for alums to join Head of School Mark Salkind ('70) to hear about Urban's current strategic plan and an update on the exciting North Campus expansion project. We are looking for an alum who could host this event, with an estimated attendance of 25 alums, in their home in San Francisco. Please email us with suggestions.
Alumni/Student Speaker Series
Thank you to members of our alumni community, including Michael Gast ('98), Misha Olivas ('94) Carey Smith-Marchi ('05), Ariana Smart Truman ('89) and Zach Shedd ('03), who joined us during Urban's fall term to speak to students about their careers and life outside of Urban. And a special thank you to our student alumni relations committee, LeRoy Votto and Charlotte Worsley for putting these visits together! For photos of these visits and other fun alumni events please click here. If you are interested in serving as a resource to our students please click here.
Thank You - Your Support Makes a Difference
We recently launched our Alumni Annual Fund and Class Endowment Campaigns for the 2014-15 school year. We're proud that last year ~220 of our alums participated in these efforts—thank you! We hope you will consider making a gift to Urban's 2014-15 Annual Fund. We invite alums in the Classes of 2009 - 2015 to make or renew a gift to your Class Endowment Fund. At a small school like Urban, each and every gift, no matter the size, makes a real difference in supporting our students and teachers.
Send us your Class Notes!
New job? New baby? Bumped into an old friend or teacher? We love hearing from you! Email us your class notes for the February BluesNotes. Pictures welcomed and encouraged!

from the alumni council
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our All-Alumni Reunion Weekend in October. We had so much fun connecting with over 100 Urban graduates from 1970 - 2014.

The Class of '85 is already making plans for their decade celebration in 2015. If you are an Urban graduate from '75, '95 (woot!) or '05 email us to start planning for next year's decade celebrations.

There is a lot in store for our alumni community during the 2014 - 15 school year. Please check out our website, Facebook and LinkedIn for updates on upcoming events and networking opportunities. We’re continuing to add alumni business information to share with each other. Email us if you would like to include your business in our list.

We are excited to share that we have a special committee of alums working together to make plans around alumni support for Urban's new Academic and Athletics Center, Phase 1 of Urban's North Campus expansion. More information will be coming in the months ahead, but in the meantime, see Urban's website for updates about the project. We are proud of our small school and its promising future for the next generation of students.

We wish you all a wonderful holiday season and hope to connect with you in the New Year.

With much thanks and appreciation,

Tara Wilson ('95)
Alumni Association President
