Special Decade Celebrations for classes ending in "4."
Special celebrations are being planned to coincide with our All-Alumni event. On October 18, the Class of '94 (and special guests from the Class of '95) will be meeting at alum Allyson Jossel's ('94) restaurant Nopalito (9th Avenue location) and the Class of '04 will be meeting at Churchill. An alum from the Class of '84 is organizing a spring East Bay event for alums, their families and faculty. And finally, on a date TBD, Steven Dinkelspiel ('74) will be hosting an event at his home to celebrate the Class of '74's milestone anniversary. Stay tuned for details.

from the alumni council
Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Downtown Happy Hour. It was great to connect with you. We hope you enjoy the photos here. Please check out our events page for information about our activities for the year and email us with your suggestions for other event opportunities. We look forward to seeing you in the 2014-15 school year.

We would also like to thank the 200+ alums who supported Urban with a gift to its Annual Fund, Endowment or Class Fund and the alumni volunteers who helped with fundraising outreach this year. Alumni contributions go a long way here at Urban and your dollars, no matter the amount, make a big difference to Urban's students and teachers. If you would like to make a gift to the 2014-15 Annual Fund please click here. For alums in the Classes of 2009 - 2014, click here to make or renew a gift to your Class Endowment Fund. Thank you!

Finally, over 500 alums are now connected to Urban via LinkedIn and 460 are members of our Alumni LinkedIn Group. LinkedIn's Alumni Finder tool is a great resource to find alums in your area of professional interest. To utilize the tool, be sure to add Urban as your high school in your educational profile and read this article. And speaking of networking, we'll be sending out our list of alum owned businesses to our community members prior to the holiday season. If you would like to include your business in this list please email us!

We look forward to seeing you at the All-Alumni Reunion on October 17th!

Beth Clarke ('92), was profiled in NorCal Shambhala website describing the new show My Friend Hafiz, a collaboration between her circus company, Sweet Can Productions, and a group of musicians called The Levins World Folk Ensemble. The show is playing for one weekend only at Dance Mission Theater, September 19 - 21, and tickets can be purchased here!
Artist Daniele Frazier ('03) was interviewed by Don Undeen of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Read the full interview published January 8, 2014, titled Creative Technologist Interview: Daniel Frazier's Implied Water here. During the month of August, her inflatable installation It Takes Two was on view at Socrates Sculpture Park in Astoria, Queens.
Audrey Snyder ('09) is continuing in the tradition of Urban alums in the food industry. As part of its mission, employees at Good Eggs enjoy home cooked, sustainable and delicious lunches. Last month, the New York Times Magazine included this piece about this unique company policy featuring Chef Audrey and including her recipes for that day's fare. Delicious!
