Thank you to our fellow alums who have donated to this year's Alumni Annual Fund campaign in honor of Urban’s faculty and staff. As of today 60 alums have contributed, and we hope you will join with us to increase our participation! Special thanks to Carolyn and Munaf for sharing why they continue to give back to Urban:

I give in appreciation of a school where there are wonderful, dedicated teachers and whose purpose and joy is to teach by inspiring learning—they did just that and I am ever so grateful.
Carolyn Weil ('76), True Blue Society 30-Year Circle

Urban changed my perspective and taught me how to learn. It expanded my view of the possible and gave me the means to pursue my ambitions. I give to Urban in appreciation for all it afforded me. I give to Urban so others can have the same opportunity I had.
Munaf Aamir ('03), True Blue Society 5-Year Circle

To make a donation please click here, email alumni@urbanschool.org or call 415 593 9540. At a small school like Urban every gift makes a difference in supporting our students, teachers and programs. Thank you for your support!

Patrick Ferris ('04) will be performing on The David Letterman Show with his band The Americans on February 20. Check it out!

Congratulations to Ezra Berman ('98) on the success of his local bar and restaurant The Corner Store. Zagat named The Corner Store one of San Francisco's top 10 hottest new burgers. Stay tuned for more details on a spring happy hour event here.

Otis Kriegel ('90) has a new book out this spring: What Every New Elementary School Teacher REALLY Needs to Know (But Didn't Learn in College) and is priced for teachers at $10 on Amazon). It’s not a typical manual but a "little back book" of tools and tactics for getting through every school day with grace and sanity. To read more about Otis and his ventures click here.

Elisa Adler ('69), one of Bill Meyer’s first students, has published her first book I'll Close My Eyes but I Won't Be Asleep, an intimate, heartbreaking and sometimes humorous end-of-life chord in a mother-daughter relationship. See this link for more information.
